Obituary of Terry Lee McKay
Terry Lee McKay (Mr.Magoo) 78, of Grimsby Ontario, passed away suddenly on December 1, 2024. Terry was born in St John, New Brunswick, on August 3, 1946 and had been married to the love of his life, Judy McKay (McNevin) for 57 years. Terry and Judy raised their two children, Terry and Lisa in Smithville Ontario. His passion for driving and cars saw him own many cars, build many cars, drag race those cars, ride motorcycles and haul transport across Canada and the United States for many years. His enjoyment and passion for cars included enjoying many car shows with Judy and his friends.
He will be survived and truly missed by his wife, Judy; his children Terry (Crystal), Lisa; and his four grandchildren, Nathan (Kayla), Samantha, Callum and Courtney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Leone McKay, and his two sisters, Patsy and Diane.
Terry will be remembered for laughter, kindness, quick wit, collection of Harley t-shirts and his bad jokes. A memorial gathering will take place at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville, Tuesday, December 17 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for those wishing to drop in to share stories and laughs with family and friends.
