RIORDON, SHANE GUY (SGR):  1990 – 2018

It is with profound sadness and extreme heartache that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Shane Riordon in his 29th year.  He was the beloved son of Guy and Debbie Riordon, cherished brother of Deidre Riordon (Zacharie Roy) and Tara London (Robert Lebrun), and treasured uncle of Emma Scott.  He was predeceased by his sister Rhoda Scott and brother Jacob Scott.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his aunts, uncles, cousins and also his many friends.  Shane had the unique ability to put a smile on your face no matter what the circumstance, and he became a friend to everyone he met.  He brought a great amount of joy to this world and he has left us all with a better understanding of love and compassion.  Shane had many interests.  He had a keen passion for trucks, movies, video games, wheelchair basketball, and the Ottawa Senators.  He especially loved driving around the property on his various wheels, whether it was his Kubota, golf cart, the lawnmowers, his trike, or his walker.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, September 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Prayers at 3 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Friday, September 7 at 11 a.m.  Memorial donations to Niagara Children’s Centre would be appreciated by the family and if desired can be made through the funeral home.
