Obituary of June Lillian Fitzgerald

FITZGERALD, JUNE LILLIAN

December 19, 1941 - March 22, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of June Fitzgerald after a short illness.  June will be missed by children Richard Fitzgerald (Kim) and Caroline Wharton, as well as partner Guy Davis, along with grandchildren Timothy, Michael, Rebekah, Roberta-Lee and Cherie, great-grandchildren Makayla, Archer, and Jameson, and her sister Maureen.  June is predeceased by her husband Jim (1999), and brothers Ron and Michael.  June grew up in Crockenhill, England and moved to Scarborough, Canada in 1970 with her husband and children.  In 1986 she moved to Smithville, Ontario, and later to Wainfleet.  While in Smithville she was highly involved with Smithville Legion Ladies Auxiliary and West Lincoln Community Care.  The family wishes to thank Dr. Martha Davidson and the medical staff of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their care.  Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in June's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held in the near future on a date and location yet to be determined by the family.
