Obituary of Robert Willard Lane

LANE, ROBERT:  April 7, 1961 - February 12, 2018

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Willard Lane, in his 57th year.  He will be sadly missed by his partner, Joanna Waliczek and her children Laura, Graham and Adam.  Rob leaves behind three daughters Alicia (Kees Post), Brittany, and Candace, and was the proud grandfather of Eli and Abigail Post.  His mom Margaret, and sisters Cheryl Mojeski (John), Sandra Daniels (Doug), Sharon Carrier (Jacques), and Marsha Tufford (Hussein Mahmut), will miss his perpetual teasing and his kind heart.  His many nieces and nephews will share the loss of their uncle.  Rob is predeceased by his father Willard (2017) and youngest sister Michelle (1974).  Rob will leave an indelible mark on his numerous friends and colleagues.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday, February 18 from 1-5 p.m.  Private inurnment at Lane's Cemetery, St. Anns.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and if desired can be made through the funeral home.
