Obituary of Elisabeth Johanna Sandmark

SANDMARK, ELISABETH:  Elizabeth (Betty) Sandmark passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side at McNally House Hospice on Thursday, December 7, 2017.  She is survived by her sister Annie in Calgary, and brother Jan (Nell) in Holland, and their families; and by her daughter Linnea Kramer (Mark) and son Lars Sandmark (Kelly) and grandchildren Dakota, Sierra, Mikayla, and Ariel here in Ontario.  Betty moved to BC in 1984 and is also survived by step daughters Susanne (Bob), Janet (Olivier), and Karina (Dwayne).  She was oma and great oma to their children and grandchildren.  She was loved and will be missed by these and by so many friends and family spread far and wide, and will be remembered for her sense of humor, her generosity, and her sense of adventure.  Thanks must go out to so many for the comfort given to Betty and family during her last weeks.  Not enough can be said for the staff and volunteers at McNally House in Grimsby, they are angels; Dr. Martha Davidson, another angel, and nurse Berna; the doctors and nursing staff in the Oncology ward at Juravinski and her dear friends Gloria (who came from BC), her friend of over 50 years Adrie who was there when she passed, Stephen, Edith, Rina, and more.  For those wishing to, memorial donations to McNally House Hospice would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers, and if desired can be done through the funeral home.
