Obituary of John Frank Lipinski
LIPINSKI, JOHN: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Lipinski. John enjoyed life and had a strong will to live, but lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the age of 68. John passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the McNally House Hospice. He is predeceased by his parents Franciszek (Frank) and Konstancja (Connie) Lipinski. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Barbara Wolwowicz, Krystyna Logozny (Rick), Irene Kovats (Nick), and Stanislaw Lipinski (Janne Fjeld); nieces and nephews Tania (Chris), Andrew (Michele), Alicia (Phil), Mark (Julie), Dr. Matthew (Dr. Katie), Steven (Anna), and Michael; and great nieces and nephews Isaac, Ethan, Lucas, Marcus, Katie, Owen, Carter and Autumn. John had a zest for life, a good sense of humour and adventure followed him wherever he went. His passion was farm life and he loved walking, surveying his crops and riding on his John Deere tractor with his dog Wyatt by his side. He had a larger than life personality and always made friends with every person he met. Special thanks to the caring and dedicated doctors and nurses at Hamilton General and Juravinski hospitals, Dr. Matt, the staff and volunteers at McNally House Hospice, home care nurses, and John's friends and neighbours for their help and support. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, November 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Prayers at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Thursday, November 16 at 11 a.m. with interment at the Church's adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to McNally House Hospice would be appreciated by the family and if desired can be made through the funeral home.
