Obituary of John Alexander Lampman

LAMPMAN, ALEX:  With family by his side at his home on Friday, June 16, 2017, John Alexander Lampman passed away at the age of 87.  He was the beloved husband and friend of Jeanne (Sheila) Lampman (nee McNerney) for 12 and a half years.  A loving father and stepfather to John Lampman (Sue), Randy Lampman (Doris), Doug Lampman (Rita), Dave (Bear) Lampman, Wanda Ling (Dave), Ruth Lampman, Tammy Uzelac (Roy), David Lampman, Justin Jex (Sandra), Kevin Jex, Barrett Jex, and Marilyn Jex (Damien), and a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Dear brother of sisters Dorothy Hunter, Helen Penfold (Ron) and Marjorie Gies, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.  He will also be remembered by Bev Smith.  Predeceased by his wife Marg Lampman, daughter Sheila Davidson, brother Don, sister Linda, son-in-law Mike Uzelac, parents Coral and Etta Lampman, and great grandson Vincenzo Vitucci.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, June 20 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.   The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 west Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville, Wednesday, June 21, at 10 a.m. Interment Merritts United Church Cemetery, Wellandport.  If desired, memorial donations to Christ Community Church (Welland), Highway Chapel (Dunnville) or Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
