KOMENDA, ANNIE: At her home in Smithville on Thursday, November 16, 2016, Annie Jolana Komenda (nee Balint) passed away in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Komenda. Loving mother of Irene Drobena, the late Paul Komenda, Eleanor Csets (Val), and Brian Komenda (Susan). Cherished grandmother of Debbie Kinzel, the late Ján Drobena, James Drobena, Rebecca Baronaitis, David Drobena, Katherine Drobena, Christopher Komenda, Paula Grant, Michael Csets, Luke Komenda, Briar MacLean, and great grandmother of Aaron, Allyssa, Christopher, Matthew, Nicolas, Emily, Jacob, Mariah, and Dahlia. Dear sister of Sam (Marla), Stanley (Myrtle) and sister-in-law Marija Balint, and predeceased by siblings Susan, John, Paul, George, Dennis and Edward. A private funeral service was held at Merritt Funeral Home in Smithville on Monday, November 21 with interment at Smithville United Church Cemetery.
