ROZEMA, ALEDA: In the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Aleda Rozema (nee Zantingh) with her husband and children at her side, was called Home to glory on Monday, August 15, 2016 in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Melle Rozema and the late Bert VanSoelen. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Carolyn and Martin Hamming, Ann and Alfred Kiers, Bernice and Fred Geerlinks, Janet and Anthony Snippe, Clarence VanSoelen,Henry and Grace VanSoelen, and step-mother of Henry and Joanne Rozema, Ralph Rozema, Ed and Michelle Rozema, and Ken and Denise Rozema. Cherished grandmother of 30 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of (the late Joe Zantingh) Ellie Zantingh, (the late Ali Kelly) Harm Kelly, John and Alida Zantingh, Bert and Fenna Zantingh, (the late Rick Zantingh) Willy Zantingh, Siny and Albert Katerberg, Jane and Martin VanderVeen, Henry and Brenda Zantingh, Jerry and Helen Zantingh, and Rhea and Ed DeVries, as well as in-laws Henry and Elly Zuidersma, Ben and Annie Koerssen, John and Joyce Rozema, Wietske DeVos (Holland) and Tea DeVries (Holland). Aleda will also be missed by all the Rozema and VanSoelen families. Visitation will be held at the Mount Hamilton Christian Reformed Church, 1411 Upper Wellington, Hamilton on Wednesday, August 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the church as well on Thursday, August 18 at 3 p.m. A private interment at Riverside Cemetery in Wellandport will precede the service. Memorial donations to Shalom Manor would be appreciated by the family and can be made through Merritt Funeral Home.
