Obituary of Robert Arthur Brunton

BRUNTON, ROBERT passed away peacefully at his home in Grimsby with his family at his side on Monday, July 11, 2016. Robert Arthur Brunton in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Carolyn (nee McMaster) for 49 years. Dearly loved father of Jane Myers (Brad) and the late Tracy (1988). Cherished grandfather of James, Kristen and Tracy. Robert is survived by his siblings Betty King (Bill), Bill Brunton (Jackie), Linda Videto (the late Lyle) and Cathy King (Tom). He will also be dearly missed by Robert McMaster, Wendy McIntee (Harry), Bill McMaster (Sharon), Elaine Crooks (Earl) and by his several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Thursday, July 14 at 10 a.m. Interment Queens Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby. If desired, memorial donations to Rose Cottage Visiting Volunteers, Juravinski Cancer Centre or Smithville United Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
