BREDDY, ANNIE MILDRED: At her home in Smithville on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Millie Breddy of Smithville (originally of Montreal, Quebec) passed away peacefully in her 79th year. She lost her battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Thomas William (1974). Loving mother of Katherine and her husband Everett, step mother to Allan (Debbie). Loving sister to Theresa (Walter). She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews; Mark (2012) (Leah), Ramona, Tammy (Patrick), Cynthia, Heather (Allen) , Larry (1972) and all her great nieces and nephews, and also her close cousins Nadia (Mike), and Mary (Mike), and their children. Millie was always passionate about her involvement in the church both here in Ontario and in Montreal. In Montreal she graduated from Concordia University to become Order of Service of the CTP which is equivalent to being a deacon. She worked for several years as parish secretary and pastoral assistant to Fr. Gilles Surprenant at St. Aloysius Parish. She was also very proud of her volunteer work and group involvement both in Montreal and here (St. Martin’s or Tours, St. John the Ukrainian Catholic Church, Community Care, Prime Time. Those who knew Millie will remember her love of Hank Williams Sr., the original Montreal Canadians, the Toronto Blue Jays and her love of pets (Nickie and Tara, her favorites) nature, wolves and feeding the birds. Memorial service to be held at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, 91 Lakeshore Rd. St Catharines, ON, on Saturday, July 9, 2016 starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch. If desired, memorial donations to be given to the animal society of your choice.
