LEBLANC, WILLIAM (BILL): It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill on October 29, 2007 in his 57th year. Beloved husband of Wendy (nee Tufts) for over 35 years. Loving father of Micheal and his wife Dianne of Wellandport, and Matthew and his wife Kristie of North Bay. Dear Grandpa of Alexis. Predeceased by both parents George and Jean. He will be sadly missed by sisters Jackie Weaver (Bill), Sharon Waite (Vince), Brenda Diltz (Wayne) and brothers Ron (Dianne), Jim (Sue), John (Cindy) and Bruce (Nell). Also missed by his nieces and nephews. A longtime resident of Smithville, Bill was known for his friendship, kindness, humour and quick wit. Bill played slow pitch in Smithville for many years and was also an umpire for the ladies teams. Longtime Legion member. He loved to fish and was most proud of his 54" 40 lb muskie he caught in North Bay last year. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A private family memorial service will follow. Special thanks to the paramedics and the emergency staff of West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
