Obituary of Klaasje Kooger

KOOGER, CLAUDIA: At McNally House Hospice on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, the Lord called home His child Klaasje (Claudia) Kooger (nee Van Beek) of Smithville at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Derk (Dick) Kooger for 41 years. Loving mother of Jeff (Wanda) and Brad (Casey). Cherished by her grandchildren Ryelyn, Marae, Darren, Shawn, the late Justin (2010), Logan, Mickayla, Chelsey, Dean, Isabelle and Colben. She will also be missed by her siblings Margaret Kloostra (Theodore), Albert Van Beek (Janice), and Teeney Matter (Bert). Predeceased by sister Anna Van Beek. Many thanks to Dr. Martha Davidson and the doctors, nurses and staff of McNally House, and to many family members for their compassionate care of Claudia. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, September 18 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Paramount Drive Alliance Church, 1035 Paramount Drive (intersection of Mud Street), Stoney Creek on Saturday, September 19 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to McNally House Hospice would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home
