McKEEN, SIDNEY: At McNally House Hospice on Sunday, July 19, 2015, Sidney Ernest McKeen of Smithville passed away in his 75th year with his family at his side after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Elke McKeen. Loving father of Kimberley Ryckman and her husband Jeff, Illona (Lanie) Carson and her husband Byron, and Kirk McKeen. Cherished grandfather of Devin, Samantha, Morgan, Tia and Jesse, and great grandfather of Rylan and Eva. Dear brother of Gladys Jones, Garnet McKeen and Ervin McKeen. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, July 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be held Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Thursday, July 23rd at 11 a.m. Special thanks to Ivan Carruthers, Terry McKay, Dr. Suhadolc and the nurses and staff at McNally House Hospice for their compassionate care.
