BLANCHARD, DOUGLAS: At West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, Douglas Murray Blanchard of Grassie, in his 80th year. Beloved son of the late Mary (nee Muir) and the late Murray Blanchard. Loving brother of Marion Derksen and the late Rudy Derksen, and brother-in-law of William Derksen and John Hogan. Predeceased by his sisters Geraldine Derksen and Barbara Hogan. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 14 at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment Kimbo Cemetery, Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to the West Lincoln Memorial Auxillary would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
