RAILTON, GRAYDON H. Peacefully in his 85th year, Graydon's journey of life on earth ended on November 27, 2006. Left to celebrate his life are his beloved wife of nearly 60 years Phyllis (nee Merritt) of Smithville, daughter Carol and son-in-law Gordon of Richmond Hill, son Kenneth and daughter-in-law Brenda and granddaughter Sarah of Stony Plain, Alberta, brother Glenn and sister-in-law Shirley of St. Catharines, brother Donald and sister-in-law Barbara of Brampton, sister-in-law Kathleen and her husband Don of Dunnville, sister-in-law Lila of Beamsville, and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to our wonderful neighbours, friends and family members who helped us through this journey with their visits, phone calls and many acts of kindness. We thank the dedicated personnel of the Niagara Community Palliative Care Team, and the caring staff at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. We invite you to the visitation on Friday, December 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville, and the funeral service on Saturday, December 2nd at 11 am at the Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20), Smithville, with interment at the church's adjoining cemetery. For those wishing, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or the Smithville United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
