MUIR, RONALD:  Peacefully, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby on Saturday, November 11, 2006, Ronald Lloyd Muir of Smithville, in his 85th year.  Beloved husband of Erie Pearl Muir (nee Chambers) for nearly 60 years.  Loving father of Lloyd and his wife Mary of Markdale, William and his wife Karen of Hamilton, and Elaine Turner and Mike Cole of Oshawa.  Cherished by his grandchildren Melanie Kearns (Adam), Thomas Muir, Trevor Muir (Leanne), Joshua Muir, Brittany Turner and Sarah Turner.    Dear brother of Babe Culp and Marjorie Dodman, and brother-in-law of Holly Muir.  Ron will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Lottie, brother Stan Muir, sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy and Lloyd Street, Doris and Hugh Barlow, Phyllis Snyder, William Culp, and Pat Dodman.  Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a Masonic Service at 6:45 pm.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 11 am at the funeral home.  Interment Abingdon Presbyterian Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions to the West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary (or Foundation) or the Smithville United Church would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
