VANMARRUM, DORA: ~ The Lord is my Shepherd. Ps. 23 ~ Born October 9, 1916 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Peacefully with family at her side, Dora VanMarrum went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2014 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter VanMarrum (1994). Loving mother of Freda and the late Bert Bergman (2003), Joanne and Ralph Sol, Dora and Marc Stroobosscher, Clem and Melissa VanMarrum, and John and Beverly VanMarrum. Cherished Grandma of 36 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson Bert Eggink (2006) and great granddaughter Erica Eggink (1990). Visitation from 6-9 pm on Thursday, August 21 at the Smithville Christian Reformed Church (6522 Smithville Road). A service of thanking God for her life will be held at the Church on Friday, August 22 at 1:30 pm. Private family interment will precede the service. If desired, memorial donations to Shalom Manor and Gardens would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
