SWAYZE, JOYCE November 17, 1943 - April 3, 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce on April 3, 2010 at the Welland Hospital, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Bruce Swayze of Welland. Devoted and loving mom of Penny (Carl) Hipkiss of Fenwick, and Paul (Lisa) Melanson of Smithville. Adored grandma of Ashley Hipkiss, Jacob, Jaime and Jenna Melanson. Survived by many loved brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and can be made through Merritt Funeral Home (905) 957-7031 or merritt-fh.com. The celebration of her life will be on April 28, 2010 at 11 am at the United Church in Smithville, with inurnment at the church’s adjoining cemetery.
