You will be missed dearly by friends old and new. It is extremely sad to say goodbye to such a good, hard-working fellow who doted on his family and dear wife, Lesley. Allan you will always be remembered for your hilarious sense of humour, optimism. and ability to enjoy life, family and friends. You made every moment count.
Allan and I met as young children when he and his family arrived in Harlow. We quickly formed a friendship which has endured a lifetime. He would come and go in our household through our childhood years being on easy terms with the whole family. (Including the biscuit tin !) We will all miss him ! RIP Allan.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Lesley, Jennifer and Stuart. Allan was a lovely, gentle husband, father and grandfather, and we all along with you will miss his wisdom, love and fabulous sense of humor. Both Brian and I enjoyed many dinners and visits with you both, Lesley and we thank you for the friendship. Rest in peace, Allan. You will be very missed and always loved.

Allan was a great leader, and mentor who lived masonry to the fullest extent.

We are heartbroken to hear about Allan. I have known Allan since they first moved to Canada. Allan was a man of all the great values that are important in life. He was so proud of his family and there was always a smile on his face when he spoke of them.
He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Lesley and family. Our thoughts are with you all. Rod and Carol Ann Richardson.
Sitting for a moment together I shard with Allan my brief yet pointent engagement with is Son, Stuart, during a lodge night.
Allan said that he was grateful for my share and that he was happy to have heard it. More so, he appreciated the story as it confirmed that his Son is a gentil, wise and good man.
That my friends was Allan. A good man; a just and upright man. Someone who gave his time to his community and was wanting to realize the fruits of his labour. He was rough yet smooth, firm yet loose, hard yet soft, and demanding as well as appreciative.
I knew him and now more so, as a Father, I appreciate him. I will miss Allan’s presence in my world.
I was heartbroken to hear about Allan. He was such a good man and friend. He was nice to everyone, always happy, a pleasure to be with. He and I were W.M.’s and DDGM’s close in years to each other. He was always very encouraging to me. I am very saddened by his passing.

Thinking of you all Johnny and Liz Barclay.
So sorry to hear of Alan's passing and our condolences to Lesley and family. Alan was a good friend and we have wonderful memories of growing up together in Felmongers. Great memories of adventures in the woods, fishing, watching the world cup at Hudgils in 1966 and motorbikes. Even though you were 1500 miles away, you will be greatly missed but we still have the memories of a great friend. Rest In Peace. Richard and Heather
My condolences to Lesley & Stuart and all the family. Allan was a strong supporter of me during my term of office as District Deputy which I truly appreciated. As well as a strong influence on me and many in the Masonic Brotherhood. He will be missed.
