Obituary of Jack Pendergast

With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jack Pendergast on November 27, 2023 in his 89th year. Reunited with his loving wife Margaret, cherished daughter and son-in-law Deborah and William, and brother Jim. Greatly loved and devoted father to Wayne and Dianne and Cheryl and Daryl. His memory will be cherished by his loving grandchildren, Carla and Paul, Aaron, Michael and Kerrie, Charlene and Tyson, and Travis and Hailey. Jack will live on in the hearts of his great-grandchildren Cayla, Chelsea, Rachel, Emma, Carter, Aria, Kaley and Madison. Jack will be missed by his sister Pearl and many, many wonderful neighbours and great friends. A visitation will be held at Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, on December 3rd, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. A burial will follow on Monday, December 4th at Smithville United Church Cemetery, 116 West Street, Smithville starting at 11:00 a.m.   If desired, memorial donations to Whispering Hearts Horse Resuce or Southern Connection Dog Rescue would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
