Condolences
In loving memory of Jack Pendergast, a wonderful grandfather.
Dearly loved. So sadly missed. I will miss our talks (the only person who could talk as much as me.) You gave the best back scratches and little people bites. I have so many good memories.
Love you always.
As Steve said...have known Jack forever since I was 15 yr. old...Remembering race night,Jack loading Larrys stock car onto his big old white truck. All the family and friends trying to decide who was going with who..great memories.R.I.P Jack with Margaret, and Debbie & Bill
JP, Action Jackson, Jackson, Pa, or, just Jack.... The many memories I have, so many we made, as kids growing up, as young adults finding our way, you were always there for all of us young folks. Personally, from just being the runt from next door, hanging with Wayne, we graduated to being taught and even entrusted with many things...tractors, equipment, et al...from taking us to the races, Cubs, Scouts, the seemingly endless cauliflower and cabbage...(even getting me off the planter when I would fall asleep..damn, most boring job ever :) .. helping build grape bins, (damn that crank start Lincoln welder!)..then came the dune buggies and your incessant tolerance of those...(the kids are just havin' fun, leave 'em be!)..and cars and trucks.....Geez, let's not even get started on yourself and my Dad getting on with politics and government...) grape harvest.. you worked so damn hard, trucked for many, plus did your own with the help of Ma..... I'd try to help ya out by pre-loading for you..and you always expressed your appreciation. The love for your grandkids, shown in every action, every meeting..heck, your love for all kids... paramount stuff.
I will remember you most for your kindness, compassion, understanding, and support..Yourself,and Ma were always there for me no matter what... You helped me through many a jam "(Jesus, Margaret, here comes George..WTF did Stevie do now...") and I appreciated every effort of it.
I'm so happy that myself and Dave had a visit with you a few days back... I didn't know it was going to be the last one, but, glad we raised a glass and toasted our friendship.
Great Thanks to your family for sharing you (and Ma) with me... with all of us.
I love you, you old bugger... say Hi to Ma,Deb, Bill, Larry, and the rest.. and Happy Endings.
Cheers, and Thanks for being just you.
