I have so many fond memories of Aunt Jessie. Every summer my sister Sandra and I would spend a week at Aunt Jessie and Uncle Leonard's. I look forward to those stays. She was always so patient with us and I always felt that their home was my home away from home, except Aunt Jessie was a much better cook (sorry mom). New Year's Day was also very special as the Burns Clan would gather at Aunt Jessie and Uncle Leonard's for one of Aunt Jessie's delicious meals. New Year's Day celebration is where I developed any love for football. Aunt Jessie, was such a warm, caring and loving person who loved her family very much, a true role model.
