PURCER, LINDA: Surrounded by her family at her home in Smithville on Friday, June 6, 2008, Linda Catharine Purcer in her 54th year. Beloved longtime partner of Lewis (Lewie) Atkinson. Loving daughter of William Summerfield and the late Verna (nee Singer). Loving mother of Sherry and Matt Devries, Bill Purcer and Terri LeBlanc, Connie and Robert Mittag, and Valerie Atkinson and Jeff Sourwine. Beloved grandmother of Jonathan, Rebecca, Bailey, Brandon, Colby, Devin and Jessica. Dear sister of Betty Garrison, Doris Roy, Diana and Jim Simms, Ron and Shelley Summerfield, and Bob Summerfield. Linda will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by niece Stacey, infant brother George, stepfather Robert Woolley and stepmother Victoria Summerfield. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street in Smithville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20) on Wednesday, June 11 at 11 am. Interment Bismarck United Church Cemetery.
