PEREIMA, VERA: At Albright Centre in Beamsville on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, Wawara (Vera) Pereima (nee Banara) three weeks before her 99th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Michael Pereima. Loving mother of Nancy and the late William Sawchuk, and of Mary and Mike Hornak. Cherished baba of Betty and Robert Talasi, Mike and Teresa Sawchuk, Andy and Anne Sawchuk, Edward Sawchuk, Terry and Lynn Hornak, Tammy Hornak and Duane Boychuk, and great-baba of Michael Talasi, Paige Sawchuk, Ashlyn Hornak and Mitchell Hornak. Predeceased by her brother Peter and sisters Mary and Anne. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Prayers at 6:45 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Road 20), Smithville on Saturday, September 13 at 10 am. Interment Queens Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby. If desired, memorial contributions to Friends of Albright Manor or the Welland and District Humane Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
