Obituary of Adele Helen Turek
TUREK, ADELE
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Adele Helen Turek (nee Marshall) at the age of 71, after a courageous year long battle with the West Nile Virus. Adele is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ed, and family dog, Riley. Also cherished by her children, Mike (Sonja), Anna, Matt (Suzanne), and Amy. Adoring Nannie to Maddy, George, Jake, Bastian, and Saskia. Adele will be dearly missed by her sister and best friend, Mary, and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Glenn and Mary Marshall. Adele had many close friends who will miss her vibrant personality and caring nature. Adele lived a passionate life; enjoying the outdoors, hiking with her dog, hosting family gatherings, watching sporting events, and above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Adele worked for Remax Escarpment for 26 years and enjoyed the personal relationships with her clients. Adele touched so many lives in such a positive way, she will be forever missed. We would like to express our gratitude to the caring staff of the Juravinski Hospital, CICU, led by Dr. Rochwerg who treated us like family, and the rest of the CICU team; Dr, Oczkowski, Dr. Karachi, Dr. Visram, Dr. Wasi, Dr. Sawchuk, Dr. Centofanti, Dr. Jones, Dr. Dionne, and all the CICU nursing staff and counsellors who supported our family during this time. A special thank you to Linda Lampman for her kind, caring support. A private remembrance will be held at a later date.
