MOKREY, EVA (nee Kalush) November 21, 1919 - November 12, 2008 Predeceased by her daughter Nancie in 1983 and by her husband Nick in 1985. Dearest mother of Kathy and her husband Jamie; her son Mike and his wife Dale. Cherished Nana of Sherry and Iain, Sarah and Dave, Jeff and Sarah, Aaron and Helen, Nicole and Dave. Loving Great-Nana of Evan; Liam and Callum; Kealan and Callum; and Andrew. Eva is survived by her sister Helen; her brother Morris and Rolande; Debbie and John; many nieces and nephews; extended family and her good friend Lois Kindree. Our deepest gratitude to the staff of Nash Jackson at Ridgeview Long Term Care. Eva arrived in Montreal from Czernichowcach, Ukraine with her siblings in 1935. In 1947, Eva and Nick purchased the Downey property at the corner of Brock and St. Catharines Streets, established Mokrey Machine Shop and began their new life in Smithville. A private family service was held at Merritt Funeral Home in Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to the West Lincoln Historical Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
