Obituary of Geraldine Bell

BELL (FRIDAY), GERALDINE:

Sept. 24, 1929 – Mar. 21, 2018:

It's with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother/grandma from this world to her eternal home in Heaven with Jesus our Lord and Saviour.  Loving wife of the late Fred Bell (2010) and caring mother of Judy Terpstra (John) and Sherri de Wilde (Terry).  Cherished grandmother of Steven, Maria, Mark, Thomas, Rebecca, Christina, and Catrina.  Predeceased by Camilia and Zachary Terpstra.  Dear sister of Marilyn Van Berkel (Larry), Terry Friday, and Monica Repa (Eugene).  Predeceased by brother Albert Friday and sister Beverly Hunt.  Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and long time and very close friend Kathy Martin.  Gerry enjoyed playing euchre and dancing.  Many people will remember Gerry for her love of family and her strong faith and devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary.  Many thanks to the PSWs of St. Elizabeth's and the nurses from Care Partners for their loving care of mom while at home.  Special thanks to the Day Away program in Dunnville for bringing joy to mom's life during her battle with cancer.  Many thanks to the caring and compassionate staff of 3 West at St. Peter's Hospital.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, March 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Prayers at 3:30 p.m.  The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours' Roman Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m. with interment at St. Martin of Tours' Catholic Church Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations to St. Martin's Church would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
