KINZEL, ROBERT: At home in Smithville on Sunday, August 31, 2008, Robert William Kinzel at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Cook). Son of the late Charlie and Mary Kinzel and son-in-law of Clifford Cook. Loving father of Kathleen Kinzel and Tyler Kinzel. Dear brother of Peggy Brenzil, Steve and Margie Kinzel, Brian and Deborah Kinzel, and brother-in-law of Dale Cook, and Jackie Newcombe and Doug Crowder. Loved uncle of Paula and Kevin Shewfelt, John and Karen Brenzil, Amanda Kinzel, Aaron Kinzel, Alyssa Kinzel, Aimee Cook, Jennifer Cook, Travis Cook, Chris and Sue Toms, and Nichole and Mike Potter. He will also be missed by many great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles. Predeceased by his nephew Michael Kinzel and mother-in-law Kay Cook. Bob was an employee of Starbrand, Dorr Brothers, and Niagara Grain and Feed. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A private funeral service will follow. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at the Smithville Medical Centre and Juravinski Cancer Centre for the wonderful care Bob received, with very special thanks to Lynda Griffiths of ParaMed Services and to all of our friends and relatives for their continued love and support. If desired, memorial contributions to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or West Niagara Palliative Care Team would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
