BANNON, GWEN: Suddenly, on Friday, March 3, 2006 at the Henderson General Hospital in Hamilton, Gwendolyn Fern Bannon (nee March) of Mount Hope, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of the late Ralph McLane Bannon (1998). Loving mother of Bonnie and her husband Ken Beamer, Linda Bach, Ken Bannon and his wife Shelly, and Sam Bannon and his wife Leona. Cherished grandmother of Andy, Nick, Brian, Krista, Rishell, Matthew, Leah, Elizabeth, Kenneth, Alexander and Victoria. Dear sister of Keith March. Also predeceased by her grandson Jeremy McLane Bach (2004) and brother Dale March. The funeral service was led by Rev. Dale Massender at Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 11 am. Ruth Griffin was the organist. Gwen's son Sam spoke of cherished memories, and all of her children sang the lullaby Gwen had so often sang to them. Interment Union Cemetery, Smithville. Pallbearers were Rick Hotrum, Andy Mundell, Nick Rosart, Brian Beamer, Gary Bannon and Collin McLeod. If desired, memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home .
