GREEN, CHARLEEN: At Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, February 14, 2013, Charleen Mary Green (nee Hill) of Hamilton and previously of Smithville passed away in her 86th year. Beloved wife for 52 years of Alan G. J. Green (Jim - Smithville Town Cryer) and for 14 years of the late Stanley David Gainham. Loving mother of Aleta Thompson (John Leroy), Mark Gainham (Marion), the late Philip Charles Gainham (Leading Signaler RCN - 1978), Charmaine Siddall (Wayne), and John Alan Green (Marion). Cherished grandmother of Belinda, John Stanley, Jason, Philip Christian, Catherine, Cassandra Mary, James, Joseph and Janelle, and great grandmother of Daniel,Nathan, Elycia, Simone, Johnathan, Nicholas, Joshua and Alyssa. Predeceased by siblings James Hill, Bud Hill and Lillian Raby. Charleen will also be remembered as a member of the staff at Nicol's Pharmacy for 17 years, and driver extraordinaire of a school bus, lift truck and rally car. With thanks from the family to Dr. Elit and Dr. Lorna and the staff of the palliative ward. Very special thanks to Dr. Amanda Marrone of Smithville Family Medical Centre for her years of care for Charleen. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, February 21 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 216 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, February 22 at 11 am. Interment Union Cemetery, Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
