DOORTEN, ROSE: Peacefully at Shalom Manor in Grimsby on Friday, June 7, 2013, Roza Francina Doorten (nee Vogel) passed away in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Gerritt Doorten. Loving mother of Carla McArthur (Bob) of Grimsby, Henk Doorten (Suzan) of St. Anns, Mary McKay of Vineland, and Judy Welfing (Cliff) of Vernon BC. Cherished by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by sister Hanna, daughter-in-law Christina (Jane), and son-in-law Rick McKay. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, June 12 from 2-4 pm (no evening). The funeral service will be held at Canadian Reformed Church of Smithville, 330 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, June 13 at 11 am. Private family interment will precede the service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
