BALINT, CARL MICHAEL ("Cuts"): August 5, 1955 - November 27, 2013: Passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton after a short battle with cancer. Beloved brother of Richard (Alaire), Milt, Esther Ruber (Dan), and Gary. Treasured uncle of Andrea Balint; Jordan, Anjene, Shelby and Taylor Balint; John Ruber (Doreen; Kaitlyn and Jacob); Rob Ruber. Also dearly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Carl was an avid sportsman and will be greatly missed at Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club. He was a valued employee at NRB (Niagara Relocatable Buildings) for 25 years. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday, December 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 6441 Regional Road 14 (Smithville Road), Smithville on Monday, December 2 at 11 am. If desired, memorial donations to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
