MACINNES, AUDREY: With dignity and grace, peacefully and surrounded by her family at Henderson Hospital in Hamilton, Audrey Joan MacInnes (nee Lennox) of Smithville passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Neil MacInnes (1987). Loving mother of Don MacInnes (Linda), Shirlee MacDougall (Jeff), Sharon Schutten (Don Boyko). Predeceased by a son Douglas (1962). Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Katie (Jay), and the late Nathan, Jenna, A.J., Adam, the late Tyler (who passed away earlier the same day), Tyler's wife Jacquie, Connor and “oh my goodness Gramma”, of Kaydince. Loved and cherished by many whom Audrey thought of as her family. Dear sister of Mel (Pat) Lennox. Audrey was a lifelong member of Smithville Presbyterian Church. Audrey and Neil were well known in the community as they operated the Service Dry Cleaners for over 40 years in Smithville. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012, from 3-7 pm at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville L0R 2A0. The Memorial Service will be held the following Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11 am at Smithville Presbyterian Church, 143 St Catharines Street, Smithville L0R 2A0. The family wishes to offer their heartfelt appreciation and thanks for the compassion and kindness extended to Audrey and her family by the doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU at Henderson Hospital. If desired, memorial donations to Smithville Presbyterian Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
