DAVIS, LAURIE: At home with his wife by his side on Friday, October 5, 2012, Laurie Eldon Davis of Wellandport passed away at the age of 64. Laurie was the cherished and loving husband of Cheryl (Latondress) for 21 years. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Pamela (Milly) Davis. Dear brother of Douglas Davis (Jean), Louise Stayzer (Bruce), Edward Davis (and the late Marilyn), and Alex Davis. He will be sadly missed by sister-in-laws Diana Dey and Mildred Kelly as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by his loyal companion “Meg”. The family will receive friends for visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, October 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30pm prior to evening visitation. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 10 at 1 pm. Interment Elcho United Church Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, but if desired memorial donations to Camp Trillium for children with cancer or a charity of your choice can be made through the funeral home
