ATKINSON, LEONA: At McNally House in Grimsby on Saturday, June 30, 2012, Leona Mae Atkinson (nee Mino) passed away peacefully in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Atkinson. Loving mother of Shelley, Darryl (Brandi Stewart) and Dale (Diane Barton). Cherished grandmother of Cassandra and Cody. Dear sister of Audrey (Audrey) Mino, Betty Huisman, and sister-in-law of Jean Mino. Predeceased by siblings Hazel (Dan) Dwyer, Clarence Mino, Bruce Mino, Doris (Harry) VanKuren, and brother-in-law Eddie Huisman. Visitation will be Friday, July 6 from 7-9 pm at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville. The memorial service will be held at the Caistorville United Church on Saturday, July 7 at 11 am with inurnment at the church's adjoining cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Caistorville United Church or McNally House Hospice would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
