WILKINSON, ABBIE: Peacefully, on Monday, April 25, 2011, Albina (Abbie) Wilkinson (nee Kazienko) of Smithville, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Gord Wilkinson (1985). Loving mother of Laurie and Tom Merritt of Smithville, Mark Wilkinson and Wanda Smith of Burlington, and Sandy McNall of Welland. Cherished grandmother of Christa (Gary) McBlain, Cameron (Laura) Wilkinson, Mitchell McNall and Jenna McNall, and great-grandmother of Benjamin, Matthew and Cooper. Dear sister of Bronny and Rose Kazienko, Alec Kazienko, Ed and Joan Kazienko, Della McLean and Albert (Tom) and Eileen (Sally) Kazienko, and sister-in-law of John Carbert. Predeceased by her brother John Kazienko and sister Jenny Carbert. She will also be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many friends, nieces, and nephews. Visitation at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, April 27 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11 am at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20) with interment at Union Cemetery, Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to Smithville United Church would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
