SHARP, WILLOW JEAN: Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa in Dundas on Sunday, October 30, 2011 in her 93rd year. Willow was born in Caistorville, Ontario, the daughter of Alvina and Gordon Grant. In 1941, she married the true love of her life, Wilford Sharp (predeceased 1996), and moved to St. Catharines. It was there she had many happy years raising her family and sharing memorable times with a wonderful group of friends and neighbours. Over the past two years Willow has resided at St. Joseph's Villa in order to be close to her son Gordon and his wife Marsha. The family would like to express our gratitude to the Villa staff for their never ending care and compassion. Family was very important to Willow and she dearly missed her predeceased siblings; brothers Donald Grant and Sanford Grant, sisters Aleda Earnshaw, Isobel Tough and Merle Grant. Willow was a very kind and gentle woman who will be remembered and loved by those lucky enough to have known her. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday, November 6 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 7 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Caistorville United Church Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
