GIOVANNETTI, ROSE:  Peacefully, at home with her family by her side, on Friday, May 12, 2006, Rose Giovannetti of Smithville in her 69th year.  Beloved wife of Joe Giovannetti.  Loving mother of Tim and Kelly.  Cherished grandmother of Michael and his wife Cyndi, Tara, Tyler and Jason, and great-grandmother of Krystle, Bekki, Brandon and Courtney.  Dear sister of Louie and Betty Chovance and Tony and Donna Chovance.  Predeceased by her parents Rudolf and Maria Chovance, son Michael, brothers John and Bill, and sisters Julie and Amelia.  The funeral service was held Monday, May 15 at 2:00 pm at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, Smithville, with Father Matthew Pendanathu officiating.  The soloist was Jesse Filice, and the organist was Janet Poisson.  Interment at the church's adjoining cemetery.  Pallbearers were Michael, Tyler, Jason and Tara Giovannetti, Andrew Kitney and Neil McDonald.  If desired, memorial contributions to Help A Child Smile would be appreciated by the family and can be made through Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville.       The family would like to thank the CCAC Niagara, Lewis and Krall Home Health Care, Red Cross of Niagara, special thanks to Julie Latour, the West Lincoln Palliative Care Team, Smithville Medical Centre with special thank you to Dr. Joan Bellaire and her team, Life Breath of Grimsby, the team of doctors, nurses and volunteers at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby, special thank you to the Emergency Room nurses and doctors, the West Lincoln Ambulance team and OTA team, St. Elizabeth Health Care with special thanks to the team of nurses.  On behalf of the family we would like to say a very big thank you to Sylvia Meindersma for her compassion, love and friendship. You went beyond the call of duty; know that your friendship to Rose was spoken of often and that in itself was a great comfort to her as well as the family.  Thank you Sylvia.
