MURRAY, JACK: After a brief illness, John Milton (Jack) Murray of Smithville passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Jack was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Neufeld) for almost 25 years. Dear brother of the late Russell Murray (Betsy), Beverly Reynolds (Ron), Phyllis Walker (and the late Cecil), Norma Deline (Bob), Allen Murray (Joyce), Gail Galley (Peter), and Bill Murray (Bev). He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, October 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The memorial service will take place at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20), on Friday, October 28 at 11 am. Inurnment at St. Luke's Anglican Church Cemetery following the service. If desired, memorial contributions to Hamilton Burlington SPCA would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
