MULDER, AMY: With deep sadness the family wishes to announce the tragic passing of Amy Marie Mulder in Smithville on Monday July 18, 2011 in her 25th year, as a result of an accident. Cherished daughter of John and Kathy Mulder and loving sister of Sarah, Kerri and Emily. Granddaughter of John and Riky Mulder Sr., and Mrs Pearl Pynn (nee Gill). Amy will be greatly missed by her many aunts and uncles; Tante Nelly, Dianne (Bob), Henriette, MaryAnn, Carol (Will), Michelle (Brent), Dan (Elizabeth), Scott (Carolann), Shari (Godmother) (Bert). Predeceased by her Uncle and Godfather Joe Mulder, Uncle Ed Eastman, Aunt Anita Cole, Grandfather George Gill and step Grandfather Ed Pynn. She will be sadly missed by her numerous cousins and friends. Special friend to the Cutts Chicks. Amy was a recent graduate of Teachers College at D'Youville College in Buffalo with a Masters of Education, a Bachelor of Arts from Niagara College and also attended South Lincoln High School.Amy was passionate about teaching, even though her career had just started. She was a DSBN employee who touched so many lives in so few years. During her lifetime Amy travelled to many parts of the world but home was always her special place. She led a short but happy life. The family will receive friends at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street in Smithville on Thursday, July 21 from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22 at St. Anns Community Church at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a DSBN Scholarship is being set up and memorial contributions can be made through the funeral home (905) 957-7031 or merritt-fh.com Cheques for donations should be made out to "DSBN" (District School Board of Niagara).
