BAARDA, ANN (July 7, 1940 – July 9, 2006): After a courageous eight week battle with complications following acute pancreatitis, the Lord took unto Himself our daughter, sister and aunt. Survived by her mother, Barbara Baarda; her siblings, Chester (Agnes) Baarda, George (Katie) Baarda, Cor (Ann) Baarda, Eb (Dick) Bokma, Frank (Nellie) Baarda, Dorothy (Ralph) Janssens, Tina (Dave) VanderWier, Gerty Baarda, Ron Baarda, Dan (Valerie) Baarda, Richard (Sabie) Baarda; 66 nieces and nephews and 56 great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her father, George Baarda (1996), sister-in-law Terrie Baarda (1993) and nephew Murray Baarda (1968). Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 4845 King Street, Beamsville on Thursday, July 13 at 11 am. Interment Union Cemetery, Smithville.
