EMBREY, SAM JR: After a courageous battle with cancer, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Samuel Brian Embrey Jr. of Caistor Centre, in his 57th year. Beloved husband of Donna Embrey (nee Packham) for 27 years. Loving father of Jim Lampman and Wade Lampman. Cherished grandfather of Donny and Kathleen. Dear brother of Patrick Embrey, Rita (Bob) Edwards, Bill (Cheryl) Embrey and brother-in-law of Frances Embrey. Dear son-in-law of Fern and Harold Bird. Sam will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and by his faithful companion Dudley. Predeceased by his parents Sam Sr. and Myrtle Embrey, brother Michael and sister Ann. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, June 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20) on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11 am. Interment Waite Cemetery, Abingdon. If desired, memorial contributions to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
