ATKINSON, MARJORIE: At Edgewater Gardens in Dunnville on Friday, November 26, 2010, Marjorie Elizabeth Atkinson (nee Spittal) in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late James Gordon Atkinson (1966). Loving mother of Jim and Kathleen Atkinson, Marie Secord, Gail and Joe Secord, Lee and Ann Atkinson, Greg Atkinson, and mother-in-law of Joan Atkinson. Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Charlotte Lane and Rhoda Maxwell. Predeceased by her son Ron (2005), son Randall (1966) and daughter Nora (1963) son-in-law Robert Secord (1995), and her other siblings. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, November 30 for visitation beginning at 9 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment Waite Cemetery, Abingdon. If desired, memorial contributions to Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
