ABRAMS, STEWART: With great sadness the family of Stewart Abrams of Smithville announces his sudden passing in Cancun Mexico, in his 71st year. Beloved husband for 48 years of Dorothy Abrams (nee Cain). Loving father of Lloyd Brens (Alison), Stew (Susi) and Mark (Leslie). Cherished grandfather of Joel, Amanda and Jacob. Dear brother of Minnie Sobotka (Ziggy), Arnold Abrams (Sandy), Donald Abrams (Duckie), Carol Chilcott (Jim), Eleanor Robertson and sister-in-law Pat Abrams. Also missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Gertrude and Earl, and brothers Fred and Richard. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Merritt Settlement Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
