SHANTRY, EDNA: At West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 11, 2009, Edna Frances Shantry of Smithville, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Henry (Hank) Shantry, and daughter of the late Wilford and Edna Johnston. Dear sister of Dorothy Larmon. She will also be missed by her nieces Judy Quinn and Twila Wayne, nephew Keil, and Adam, cousins Margaret Massey, Jean Wayne, Evelyn Fowler, Bob Dawson, and sister-in-law Joyce Shantry. Special friend of Janice Campbell and Marjorie Comfort. Predeceased by her brother Carson Johnston and sister-in-law Marge Barnes. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, May 14 from 12:30 - 2 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Interment Smithville United Church Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Smithville United Church or the West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary can be made through the funeral home.
