MIHALIDES, MARK: Suddenly on Monday, March 9, 2009, Mark Mihalides of Smithville in his 45th year. Beloved husband of Sandra Mihalides, and father of Christian and Brandon. Loving son of Louis and Carolyn Mihalides. Dear brother of Lynette (Joe) Walmsley, Paul (Patti) Mihalides, and Sharleen (Ken) Kohut. Mark will also be sadly missed by his parents-in-law Robert and Geraldine Schouppe, brother-in-law Rob Schouppe, his niece, five nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark was a paramedic with Niagara EMS and member of the West Lincoln Fire Department and many other community clubs and organizations. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 1 pm at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Road 20), Smithville. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund for Mark's children will be set up at the CIBC. For those who wish to offer a gift in Mark's memory, donations will be accepted through the funeral home.
