Hoeksema, William Jacob (Bill): On Saturday, May 2, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer, the Lord, in His wisdom took Bill, at the age of 49, unto Himself. Dear husband of Jeannie Hoeksema (nee Linde) and loving father of his sons, Darryl and Kevin. The cherished son of Wiecher and Anne Hoeksema and son-in-law to Ken and Tina Linde. Much loved brother of Margaret and Andy Mans, Warren and Mary-Ann Hoeksema, Diane and Bob Spoelstra, Hans and Kinga Hoeksema, Annette (Bill’s twin) and Clarence Visser, Karen and Pieter VanWeerden, Arnold and Karen Hoeksema, Irene Hoeksema, Marian and John Blokker and brother-in-law of Tony and Ruth Linde, Lorraine and Jake Tamminga, Liz and Wayne Vanderwoude, Cindy and Gary Wieske, Marian and Simon Vanderwoude, John and Pam Linde, Christine and Gregory Pallas, Sheryl and Marcel Kampen. He will be remembered with fondness as a kind and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by his many, many friends. Throughout his illness Bill’s faith and courage touched the lives of all who were near him. He was a testament of God’s Love. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Smithville Canadian Reformed Church, 330 Station Street Smithville. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at 11 a.m. at the Smithville Canadian Reformed Church, with interment to follow. Many thanks to the Hospital Staff and the Homecare Teams for their dedication and care. Memorial contributions to the McNally House Hospice can be made through the funeral home.
