Obituary of Cindy LeBlanc

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy LeBlanc, at McNally House on December 24th 2024, at the age of 58. Beloved wife for 35 years of John LeBlanc. Loving mother of Megan (Dustin Price), and Laura (Andrew Devos), and adoring Grandma to Hazel and Cohen. Cherished daughter of Gord (†) and Jane Lees, and dear sister to Derek Lees (Melissa). Cindy was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many. 

Cindy had an accomplished career as an insurance professional, and many of her colleagues became close friends over the years. She loved to spend time with her friends, travelling around Canada and the world on different adventures, and enjoying a glass of wine. Her proudest accomplishment was raising and watching her two strong daughters grow up. 

When she was first diagnosed with cancer, her wish was to be healthy enough to see the birth of her granddaughter, Hazel. She was blessed to not only spend 5 years with Hazel, but 3 with her younger brother Cohen as well. During her time at McNally House, she had many visitors who shared stories about how Cindy was a supportive and kind mentor, colleague and friend, which brought our family much peace in a difficult season of life. Cindy would often say that she was one of the few people that knew that her time in this world was going to be coming to an end; and this provided a unique perspective on life. Her wish for all is to spend your time doing that which brings you joy, and to cherish your friends and family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville and the family will have a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations to McNally House are appreciated by the family.
