Obituary of Elenore Wills

WILLS, JANET LILLIAN ELENORE (nee Vernon) passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in her 91styear. Beloved wife of the late Peter Wills (d.2017). Loving mother of Lorraine and Tom (Valerie). She especially loved her grandchildren Thomas (Alison), Richard (Vany) and Sarah (Dana). Proud and loving Gee-Gee of Scarlett, Peter, and George. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Dorothy Vernon of Caledonia, and her sister and brother-in-law Evelyn and Jim Harrison. Fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Elenore enjoyed spending time in West Palm Beach for many winters, and her love of books, history, classical music, and cats influenced her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will live on forever in our hearts.

Our family is grateful to the wonderful nurses and doctors of C and B Wards, West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for the care they gave to our mother and grandmother. Arrangements are entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville.

In lieu of flowers, Elenore’s family asks you to remember her by saying a kind word or lending a helping hand to someone today.  A private family service will be held on a warm spring day.
